“Etidal” announces its participation in the United Nations meeting of the Counter-Terrorism Convention Working Group on Preventing and Combating Extremism.

The Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology (Etidal) announced its participation in the United Nations meeting of the Counter-Terrorism Convention Working Group on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism Conducive to Terrorism, held today, Thursday, April 3, 2025.

During its participation via videoconference, Etidal presented a working paper on preventing and countering violent extremism and terrorism online: the exploitation of online gaming communities for radicalization and recruitment.

It is worth noting that the Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology (Etidal) is a global center whose mission is to combat extremism, eradicate its roots, confront it, and promote tolerance and coexistence among peoples. Its headquarters are located in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
