The Muslim World League launches its new digital platform, including the “Minhaj” application.
On Thursday, November 27, 2025, His Excellency the Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, inaugurated the League’s new digital platform, including the “Minhaj” application. The inauguration was attended by a number of eminent scholars and dignitaries from across the Muslim world, representatives of Islamic organizations and institutions, and a select group of experts and those interested in Islamic affairs.
During the inauguration, the platform’s key features were highlighted, emphasizing its significant contribution to the League’s institutional communication system, as part of its ambitious strategic plans to enhance its engagement with Muslim communities both within and outside the Muslim world.
The grand celebration featured speeches by His Eminence the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Chairman of the Council of Senior Scholars, and President General of Scientific Research and Ifta, Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Fawzan Al-Fawzan, delivered on his behalf by the Secretary General of the Council of Senior Scholars, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Fahd bin Saad Al-Majid; the Imam and Khateeb of the Grand Mosque, member of the Council of Senior Scholars, Advisor at the Royal Court, and President of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid; the President of the Supreme Islamic Council of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Mabrouk Ali Muhammad Zaid Al-Khair; and the Speaker of the Indonesian Consultative Assembly, His Excellency Mr. Ahmad Mozani.
During the launch, Dr. Muhammad Al-Issa emphasized that this digital transformation represents a significant step forward in the League’s efforts to develop its technological tools and contributes to enhancing effective communication with Muslim communities, particularly through accessible technological services that meet their needs. He also noted that the League is committed to strengthening its technological capabilities, keeping pace with the rapid advancements in modern technologies. His Eminence added that the “Minhaj” application received official approval from the Islamic Fiqh Academy in its Resolution No. (23) dated 13 Shawwal 1445 AH, corresponding to April 22, 2024 CE, under the chairmanship and membership of Their Eminences, Excellencies, and Highnesses the Muftis and senior scholars of the Islamic world who are members of the Academy.
His Eminence explained that this application is the first of its kind in terms of its broad legal framework, which includes scholars of the Islamic nation who are members of the academies, bodies, and councils affiliated with the Muslim World League. This grants it “high institutional credibility,” eliminating the “conflict and contradiction” found in a number of existing religious programs, while also “adding more important services.” Thus, it constitutes a comprehensive technological leap with an unprecedented international legal framework.
It is worth noting that the “Minhaj” platform offers a wide range of interactive digital services in several international languages. To fill a long-awaited void, especially by correcting the conflict and contradiction in a number of applications in circulation, in addition to adding important and urgent services.
