Tolerance in Islam

The starting point for tolerance in Islam came from the Holy Qur’an’s statement that all people descend from “one soul,” as God Almighty said: ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ نَّفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ﴾ This starting point confirms that there is no discrimination between people on the basis of color, race, language, or anything else, which makes the relationship between people in different societies surrounded by an atmosphere of brotherhood and tolerance.
