Saudi Arabia calls for an “Arab-Islamic follow-up summit” to discuss the continuation of the aggression against Gaza and Lebanon

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia called today, Wednesday, to hold a “Joint Arab-Islamic Follow-up Summit” on November 11, to discuss the continued Israeli aggression on the Palestinian territories and Lebanon, and current developments in the region.

The invitation came as an extension of the summit hosted by the Kingdom on November 11, 2023, and based on the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God protect him, and in continuation of the efforts made by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, in coordination with the leaders of Arab and Islamic countries.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed in its statement issued today its “follow-up of developments in the region, the continuation of the sinful Israeli aggression on the Palestinian territories, and its expansion to include Lebanon, in an attempt to undermine its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and its dangerous repercussions on the security and stability of the Middle East,” renewing its condemnation and denunciation of the continued Israeli crimes and violations against the Palestinian and Lebanese people.

The summit comes as a continuation of the great efforts made since the first summit, and what resulted from it was a joint ministerial committee that made diplomatic efforts to stop the war and push towards a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue.
