Islamic etiquette

On the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “…and removing harmful things from the road is charity.”
Narrated by al-Bukhari (2891)

Explanation of the hadith:
“The meaning of removing harmful things from the road being charity is that it causes the safety of those who pass by from harm, so it is as if he has given them charity by doing so, and thus he attains the reward of charity.”
