Tolerance in Islam

In the context of promoting the concept of tolerance, Islam sought to reject all forms of extremism and fanaticism. God Almighty said in the Holy Quran: “Say, ‘O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion beyond the truth.’” It was authentically reported that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Beware of extremism in religion, for those before you were destroyed by extremism in religion.”
