The World Muslim World Council (WCTIW) welcomed the UN General Assembly resolution calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, taking the necessary measures to pressure the occupying state of Israel to achieve this, and rejecting any measures aimed at displacing the Palestinian people.

WCTIW emphasized that the 149 countries voting in favor of this resolution reflects the international will to achieve its contents, including the need to take immediate and tangible steps to preserve the unity of the Palestinian territory under the administration of the Palestinian Authority and halt all forms of Israeli expansion and settlement activity.

WCTIW reiterated the importance of implementing the resolution’s provisions, putting an end to the brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, and halting all settlement policies practiced by the occupying state of Israel in the occupied Palestinian territories.
